Exhibit Introduction:
The exhibit consists of a turntable, a laser light source, a liquid sealed container, and a start button. The laser light source is fixed on the turntable.
Press the button, and the laser illuminates and directs its beam at the liquid in the sealed container. Turn the dial to adjust the angle at which the laser beam enters and exits the sealed container. The laser light travels from air into the liquid (or from the liquid into the air), producing two beams of reflected and refracted light. Different media result in varying degrees and changes in light reflection and refraction (reflectivity and refractive index). The scale outside the dial shows the changes in the angle of incidence and reflection of the light source.
Operation Instructions:
Participants press buttons to activate light sources and watch the reflection and refraction of light.
